NHRPA/NESTMA Maintenance Workshop The New Hampshire Recreation & Parks Association would like to invite you to our first annual Maintenance workshop. Attendees will have the opportunity to rotate through four sessions and learn valuable tools and resources to take home and put to practice in their community. What you feed your turf could make or break your turf management plan. We will discuss the pros, cons and best practices for each. We will hear how one department made the switch and never looked back! Alternative Parks & Amenities – Presenter: Craig Fraley, Amherst Parks & Recreation Department “If you build it, they will come” Break away from the diamond and rectangular fields at your parks and do something fun and new for all residents. In this workshop we will go through the planning, budgeting and building process of many different low cost amenities for your parks. We will discuss gaga pits, disc golf, mountain bike parks and other small additions to feature your existing parks. Smart Field Maintenance Practices on a Smaller Budget – Presenter: Jess Hamilton MTE –Turf Equipment Solutions What tools do you have in your shed? Jess will talk about solutions to purchasing smart equipment that does it all vs. having multiple tools that can only do one job. In this session you will learn about being preventative and cost effective with your turf maintenance and not needing to pay for the high cost fixes after the fact. Vendor Hall Session - visit with all the vendors as part of the rotating sessions.
