New England Pro Greens & Turf is a fast-growing, innovative turf installation and golf course/athletic field construction company based in central New Hampshire seeking an experienced foreman/equipment operator to join our team for the long term. We travel to high-profile landscape and turf jobs throughout New England to perform landscape construction, grading, and turf installation (both natural and synthetic) for golf courses, athletic fields, housing developments, and commercial/residential properties. This is a full-time position requiring frequent overtime from spring through fall. Travel is also required to job sites throughout NH, VT, MA, ME, and CT - up to approximately 100 miles radius from our location in central NH. 1 to 2 night stays near a job site are occasionally required for multi-day projects at longer distances.
Responsibilities: Foreman will supervise and direct 1-5 person crews on projects and will be responsible for site preparation for turf installation while managing job hours, materials, and site logistics. The RIGHT individual will work as a team member with the installation crew to accomplish and complete each project.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license (CDL-A preferred), DOT medical card, OSHA-10 certification, and Massachusetts hoisting licenses 2A and 1C.
Experience and Other Requirements:
- Construction and/or landscape construction
- Heavy and light equipment operation including mini excavator and skid steer
- Site grading, excavation, and/or related experience
- Base prep knowledge and experience in preparing patio/walls
- Knowledgeable with Level Best GPS and can set/check grades with rotating laser
- Dependable and responsible
- Experience driving CDL or non-CDL trucks with trailers and non-CDL dump trucks
- Must be able to read site plans proficiently
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Must be able to manage crew and subcontractors
- Provide reports of time and materials at end of each work day
- Ability to keep accurate notes and records
- Ability to work well with a team and lead a crew
- Have a clean driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly
