Town of Lincoln - Parks and Recreation Director

The Town of Lincoln is seeking a full-time Parks and Recreation Director for the administration of a comprehensive recreation program for the Town of Lincoln. This includes the management of 2 full time staff and numerous part-time / seasonal staff as well as an operating budget supported by a general fund, revolving fund and multiple gift accounts.

Responsibilities include the development, promotion, implementation and evaluation of recreational programs for all ages, oversight of the events subcommittee for town events, and management of all recreation facilities including parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, tennis courts and the Codman Pool.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, along with five to seven years of professional experience including program planning and administration, budgeting and accounting, supervision of full-time and seasonal staff, and recreational facilities management. Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certifications through National Parks & Recreation Association preferred. Experience with parks and recreation management software is highly desirable. Strong communications, public relations, marketing and customer service skills required.

Starting salary range is $76,444.33 - $88,619.57. Core department hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours. A detailed job description is available here.
