Turf Application Specialist (Manchester, NH)

SGS Turf Care is growing and we are looking for a turf application specialist to join our team!

SGS Turf Care is a professional turf application and irrigation service company, founded in 2015 by a former golf course superintendent. We pride ourselves in producing high quality turf and providing excellent customer service. As experts in turfgrass management, we offer more than basic landscaping and lawn service. Our clients include golf courses, universities, private schools, school districts and high-end residential lawns. Our well-maintained equipment fleet features: Toro boom sprayers, a Kubota tractor with a Vicon spreader and Turfco T3100 spreader/sprayers.

The right candidate should be someone who is professional, organized, has a positive attitude, takes great pride in their work, who works well independently and also works well within a team. Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • ·        Applying fertilizers and chemicals
  • ·        Maintaining records of applications – for clients and the state
  • ·        Communicating with clients
  • ·        Properly maintaining, loading and transporting equipment
  • ·        Slice seeding and aerating turf
  • ·        Snow management

Secondary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • ·        Assisting with irrigation service and maintenance
  • ·        Assisting with athletic field maintenance tasks

Summary of Requirements for the position:

  • ·        Past experience applying fertilizers and chemicals preferred.
  • ·        Have or obtain a NH Operational License - Category G2
  • ·        Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • ·        Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds (fertilizer bags)
  • ·        Computer/tech skills

Although not required, having the following would be considered ideal:

  • ·        NH Operational License - Category B
  • ·        Irrigation repair and maintenance experience

Duration:  This is a year-round position.  In season work weeks are typically 4-5 days with only occasionally working on weekends.  Off season work will include snow removal.

Compensation:  $22 to $28 per hour with some overtime
