SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking and engaging Instructional Support Associate to join the Applied Science program area of Horticulture, Golf and Sports Turf. SUNY Delhi offers several related degrees at the Associate and Baccalaureate levels within the Applied Science program. These include Associate in Applied Sciences (AAS) options in Horticulture, Golf and Sports Turf Management, and Landscape Design & Management. A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is offered in Golf and Sports Turf Management.
The State University of New York (SUNY) Delhi operates an 18-hole golf course, The College Golf Course at Delhi. Located on the lower campus, the golf course is adjacent to the programs Turf Education Center and lower campus greenhouses. Each of these facilities serves as an educational center and learning lab for the Applied Science academic programs.
Primary duties will be focused on instructional support for a variety of courses with specific emphasis on grounds equipment maintenance (sharpening and grinding) and management, irrigation systems and water management, and others as assigned. Assistance with academic assessment may be required for those courses where the candidate provides instructional support. Successful applicant will also be required to maintain program equipment and inventory, maintain turf education center and immediate grounds. Some campus committee work may be required of the position as well.
