2018 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Nominations must be received by May 14, 2018. 

This notice to NESTMA voting members is a Call for Nominations for positions open on the Board of Directors for election in 2018.

The following positions will be open for election in 2018 and so are now open for nominations:

            President-elect

            Treasurer

            Secretary

            Director, General member representatives: 3 positions

            Director, Commercial member representatives: 2 positions

As defined in the NESTMA By-laws:

General Members: “Persons engaged in maintenance, research or teaching pertaining to sports turf surfaces at educational institutions, municipalities, parks or professional and private facilities…”

Commercial Members: “Persons engaged in commercial enterprises providing services or products to the sports turf profession…”

The current President automatically moves to the position of Past President.

The current President-elect automatically moves to the position of President.

All terms are for two (2) years.

Nominations may be made by any voting member in good standing and must be signed by that member.

A member may nominate more than one individual.

A member may nominate his or her self.

Nominated individuals must be NESTMA members in good standing.

The Nominating Committee will act on the nominations received and present a slate to the Board of Directors for consideration. The membership will receive balloting information in late June and the elections will take place through early July. Election results will be announced at the NESTMA Summer Field Day on August 8, 2018 at Wellesley, College.
