The Position

The Groundsperson is responsible for maintaining and preserving the Academy’s physical environment to ensure a clean, safe appearance and functional condition for those visiting, working on, and using the main campus, athletic facilities and woodlands.

This position is considered “Essential Personnel”, requiring the employee to report to or remain at work for emergencies and inclement weather events.


The successful candidate will have experience in grounds operations, outdoor athletic facility maintenance, turf management (natural grass and synthetic), measuring and painting field markings, and irrigation and equipment operation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum two years’ related experience.
  • Training in the areas of landscape maintenance, sports field maintenance, horticulture, or related disciplines.     
  • Knowledge of snow and ice removal operations.
  • Pesticide applicator license and knowledge of Integrated Pest Management Practices.
  • Possess and maintain a New Hampshire commercial applicator license.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the safety and well-being of a diverse and inclusive community.
